Even when I'm already not in the office and YET, you still won't get off my back! And now accusing me without evidence (or any commonsense in your brain) that I stole all the missing books in the office. Like, what the HELL?

And from what I heard from my ex-colleague, it wasn't a book that was missing in the first place, it was a catalog! Oh come on, as if you don't know catalog keeps getting misplaced all over office. You just couldn't let it go could you, and have to interrogate each and everyone of the employee. And in the end, you came to a conclusion that I STOLE it.

Aaaah whatever la, just want you to know that karma will definitely come back and bite you in your butt.

It's good to be home! And happy 2012 to everybody ^^

2011 has been a scary but great year for me!Of course one of the top highlights for me was working for the first time! Like actually working with getting your payslip at the end of every month! It was such a nail-biting experience as at that time I seriously didn't know what people do in the office, and from 8 till 5! It's like you're just sitting at that one desk for 9 hours a day! Crazzzy. But the BEST part is.. *drumroll* getting ma first paycheck! XD So exhilarating to get my own hard-earned cash! Now I understand why some people just stopped studying when they have landed a job.

Much of the things I have accomplished last year was mostly work-related. But still it gave me a great sense of accomplishment! Cause honestly, I haven't learn much during my 5 years of architectural studies, nothing that can prepare me for the REAL WORLD. It's my fault mostly during those years because I was so dependent! Almost all of my projects I had to rely on someone, especially design-related, because my cad-skill were just so so bad ( and also my 3D & rendering skills!). Never touched them until my last year where I was left alone and was forced to learn.

Working has also forced me to learn. It's like a crash course for the REAL architecture. I am just so grateful to work for awhile before continuing my master. This time I know what I have to learn, what I'm suppose to learn when I'm in the studio. Anyway, hope I will be prepared for Masters!

Other non-work related stuffs for 2011, hmm..not much I guess! Need some personal growth for 2012 then!2012 New Year Resolutions!

1. Continue with My365, hopefully I can have my 1st year album.
2. Learn how to cook more dish.
3. Improve in my 3D
4. Blog more! Cause I'll definitely will forget about all those 'moments'

Anyway, it's December! How fast does time fly. It'll be my last month working! Even though I might not get my bonus (most probably NOT cause I heard u get bonus only during cny here, n I also heard bonuses r given 1 moth in advance!), good riddance! Money cannot tempt me this time cause I will not be selling my soul to u anymore.

I used to be very tolerating, but after finding out oh how much u mistreated ur staffs (even our basic rights has been ignored) I've made up my mind. Usually had been on the fence, but this time I'm putting my foot down.

Sigh, ppl will advise me that's it's the same everywhere. R u sure?? -,- at least I'd tried.

Watching Conan the barbarian with Kingston n it is just so gross! Ugh. So I'm trying to shift my focus by blogging >.<

Went to logos hope ship yesterday! Was the last day they port in Kuching. The varieties of books r just so-so, didn't really get to browse because it's just so damn crowded! I remember the last I went was when I was around 8 or 9, only can remember the mascot. Lol. N all these while I thought it was called the Douglas ship. Lol.

Hmm just found out apparently I can't post pics in the middle of a post of I'm using mobile -,- so all d pics r at the end of the post lar.

Kept hearing that the ice-cream on the ship is delicious, one come for rm4. Went to try it, not bad lar but not as delicious as what they r proclaiming lor. Made my expectation higher, thought it will be like haagan daaz or sth. But it's nicer then mcd's lar :p

Time really do pass by so fast! I've been working for 9 months, and it felt just like yesterday I was waiting for my transit flight from Miri. It's a lovely Saturday, baby's working half-day today so I'm at home. Waiting for the laundry, watching Apollo 18 while eating ma cereal. The only thing wrong is I'm suppose to watch morning cartoons! lol. Cartoons and morning with cereal is such a good combination ^^

I must always remind myself not to trust anybody too fast. Or better yet, don't trust anybody at all, cause they will hurt you eventually if they have to save their ass. Mostly am talking about colleagues. The old me would have tried to please everybody and be that friendly girl, but now I'm trying to pull away from that. I've only known them for a few months, and it's just not enough for me to trust anybody yet. My guard is super up right now and I will try to keep it that way. When I just got in, I let my guard down and what did it got me? A stab right behind the back.

I know I will always forgot, but I have to remind myself everyday not to get myself too exposed, do what I've been told, nothing more, nothing less. Don't complain too much cause somebody will just take it straight to the boss and make it a big issue. Don't attract any attention to yourself. Don't be a smart ass. Cause you'll get yourself into heaps of trouble if anything goes wrong. You see boss, it's not that we don't take enough initiative, or we are lazy or unmotivated, your employees force me to be so. You don't know what's happening when you're not around.

Our first ever girl's day out! It's such a nice break from from working, and it makes me feel all nostalgic and weepy :'( cause I suddenly miss our life in uni so much! BX came to Kuching for almost a week but could only meet up with her during the weekends, and an occasional dinner in the weekdays.

Came Saturday morning, Penny picked all of us up and we had laksa for breakfast. And then it's off to Damai which is about a 45 mins drive from Kuching Town. BX stayed at Damai for a few days because she needed to do some research on the Sarawak Cultural Village nearby.

Tips for local who wanna go, show your LOCAL student card! (eventhough it's expired just show them they won't even know if it's valid or not. They will take your card for 'verification' but I can assure you they don't know what the hell they're doing.) The price for one ticket was RM60, so we asked the girl at the counter if there's any student price, and she replied yes. So BX n CCL gave her their oversea student cards while I gave them my expired local student card. BX & CCL were charged RM30 each, and RM15 for me... Like, what thes hell right?? We are all still students and malaysians what! You study overseas means u have more money so u have to pay more huh! Stupid SCV (Sarawak Cultural Village).

And it's so much different compared to 5 years back when we came here for our site visit. It was so vibrant and bustling. Now, there's nobody around, and the workers are so unmotivated. There was one part where this lady was suppose to demonstrate a kind of traditional knitting, she did it halfway and just undo everything. And we asked her why she did not want to continue, and she replied even if she finished it, she won't even get to keep it. 0.0 alright.. so u get the point.

We checked in around 2pm and stayed in the room till around 5. (lol lazy asses) but it was just too hot outside, and the bed was so cosy~

At the end, grudgingly pulled our asses out of bed and went for a stroll at the beach cause CW dropped by and kept bugging us that we should go outside because we're at the beach! *freaking hot lor*

Seafood for dinner! Next time order ketam should ask for female crabs cause they have more flesh and eggs at the inside!

BX bought chocolate from London! (and also some *o*dom. HAHAHA)

nightime is for pillowtalk~ chit chatting while toning our legs at the same time. Efficient.

Moved to the chalet the next day. Very cosy~

The next morning. Lazing around while waiting for CCL n BX to return from SCV. Almost feel asleep here, with the sea breeze and d waves~

Anyway, it was really a great bonding time for us. Get to update about each other's life, share stories and GOSSIP. hehe. Am already planning in my mind for the next gathering!

I miss everybody so much! I miss uni life, despise all the late nights, stress, rushing for finals, stressful presentation, sleep deprivations etc etc. It's in the midst of all this stress that makes me miss is the most. What's late nights without mamak sessions, what's sleep deprivation without all the exhaustion that cause you to laugh at the most littlest things, what's presentations without all the post-presentation celebrations.

Anyway, it's just so hard for me to grasp that that part of my life is finally over. But it's nice to reminisce once in awhile, same goes to gatherings too! It's nice to meet ol' friends once in awhile too :)

I keep trying to blog consistently but always in vain. Sigh. I always feel the urge to blog when I have just cut my nails. lool. And I don't think anybody reads my blog anymore cuase I keep changing my url. Been flipping from one to another, but at the end I realized it's www.cindyluv.blogspot.com which I'll always feel most comfortable with. Cause it's me, I love myself, I love my life, and I love sharing my life with people who cares. My 1st change was greenmon.blogspot. Greenmon's an online nick I used to share with my ex, he was Bluemon cause he likes blue, and thus mine. My 2nd edit was to jambubu.blogspot. My current beu calls me Jambubu once awhile and I think it just sounds so cute, so I changed my url to that. And then I realized, what happens if things doesn't go well, what happens if we break up? And I'll have to change my url once agian. And then it occur to me, whatever happens in the future, cindyluv.blogspot will always be me, unless I hated myself so much and decided to get a plastic surgery and change my name, well, that's another thing.

Gosh, this is one rambling post, but I don't care. :p I just like typing idlelessly. I like typing whatever that comes to my mine. Organizing readable posts is just so tiring.

Ok gotta get myself together. I'll be back in awhile!

Just realize my blog has been so picture deprived! Currently don't have any pics on this lappie cause am using my bf's. Anyway, can't wait for Friday to come cause we'll be going to Satang Island with another couple! It's like a double island trip date. lol.

On a different note, my bf's very obsessed with his car. He has been cleaning it for 2 hours straight, cleaning and polishing every inch of his car. Why do I suddenly bring this up? Cause I'm currently staring at him while he is now scrubbing the tyres 0.0

This is just a very lazy afternoon, 2 days of holiday for Gawai and kinda regret not planning anything in advance cause everywhere is full now. Sigh.

Last week has really been one hectic week. Just finished off a proposal for a hotel for KLIA2. Deadlines weren't even specify clearly, and suddenly, they need it by today. -_-" Rushed and sent it off by midnight. Now I have a free weekend with nothing to worry about! (for now) Don't know what's install for me next week.

Gosh, working life is really boring. I don't even know what to blog 'bout anymore. Firstly would be the lack of inspiration. Secondly, I'm worried my colleagues would get a hold of this blog, which puts more constraint on what I can write.

Transitioning has been such an experience, but now it has become a routine. I read a quote that says 'embrace the ordinance'. Lol, that's what I'm trying to do. But of course, I'm trying to pick up skills on the way too. I've started to polish my cooking skills, and so far all of my dishes has received a thumbs up! ^^ which is quite an achievement for me cause I've really only started cooking last year.

And I don't know where will I be going next year. It's still very undecided. And scary. Am I prepared? Am I ready? How the hell should I know.

Aaaaargh.. Gonna continue reading ma book.

Life in Kuching

It's been a month and a half now in Kuching. It still feels surreal sometimes, taking a step back and looking at where I am now. It's just a life that I wouldn't expect myself to be in in a million years.

I've found a job working as an assistant architect. I struggled at the beginning because I didn't know what to expect, and what they expected from me. But all is well now, everything is starting to fall into pace and thank God my colleagues are kind enough to teach and guide me. I used to dread every morning, but now at least I would look forward to my day at the office, and to work on my designs.

The previous paragraphs were written 2 months back, it's been saved in my drafts but I've never got around to finish it.

Anyway, things are still the same, just that work is starting to get stressful. And the people around me are starting to get ugly. Ugly in the sense that you can see who they really are, how selfish a person can be, how cowardly, how pompous. And surprisingly, the first person that I doubted when I came in, was the last person I've ever expected to be helpful. You really can't judge a person by what you hear around the office.

I can't really let my guard down here, but so far, I think I've made a good friend. Maybe cause we see each other everyday, and we are almost the same age, most probably that's why I clicked with her instantly. Even though she goes to the same place for lunch everyday, I still will accompany her without fail (other than days that my bf suddenly wants to bring me for lunch!) because I just want to have a break from all the adults at the office. It's just so tiring to have to please everybody, and you don't know what their motive is.

Working is tiring! I am just grateful to see my baby every time I get off from work. It makes me happy :)

That's where I am right now. A 4 hours wait till me next flight to Kuching. I have 2 interviews waiting for me, and hopefully I get employed by one of them before March.

As promised, a long overdue post from me. 2010 has been a tough and crazy year for me. It has forced me to make choices which I've never thought in my life I would make again.

Firstly, I've broken up with my Taiwan boyfriend of 4 years. It has caused quite a stir among my social circle of friends and all my relatives who acquire a Facebook account. It seems that I not breaking up with one guy, but the whole world too. Things just didn't work out. And it seems that this explanation wasn't sufficient because I'm always countered with another question 'but why did it took you 4 years to figure it out?' I'm always at a lost when it reaches this question. Somehow I've always felt that it wasn't what I want, not this life, but I've never had the guts to confront it, didn't dare to step out of my comfort zone which I'm so accommodated to.

It took me a year to realize, I needed something more. I deserved more. I need to find myself back before it's lost. People just assumed it was the distance that broke us. But I believed it's the way he is, the egoistic guy that heard what I had to say but never listen.

I know it looks bad but I did us both a favour. I knew he had somebody else in his heart, even though he made the choice to stay with me, but you can't force feelings. If it's there, it's there. You have been contemplating for so long, I couldn't wait anymore. You made your decision, but it was already too late and I'm sorry, I have moved on.

Other than that, other significant things that happened in 2010:

- I'm finally a graduate!
- I'm job hunting, all the way to Kuching!
- And I think I've found Mr. Maybe for now, it's too soon to say :p

japanese curry

first time cooking japanese curry, which was surprisingly quite easy! the premix was on offer so bought a few back to try. i actually enjoyed my own cooking! which is quite rare. *pats myself on the back* =D

ok just a simple guide through for any kitchen noobs out there.

serving for 1 (or 2, i have no idea how to count all this servings =\)

ingrediants:
1) beef chunks (or chicken up to you!)
2) butter x 1 tbsp
3) carrots x 1
4) potatoes x 1
5) onion x 1
6) japanese curry premix (bought from shojikiya for RM6)

beef cubes, butter, carrots, potatoes, onions

jap curry premix! it says serving for 1, but 2 for me.

seaweed strips: something extra for the rice

1) heat pan, add butter (healthier)

2) add onion. saute until golden brown

3) add carrots and potatoes (cut into cubes). saute until golden

4) add meat. if it's beef, make sure u don't over cook it.

5) add about 350ml of water (you can add more later if you think the sauce is too thick).
noob mistake: always adding too much in the beginning!

6) add premix

7) shimmer for 10 mins until the sauce starts to thicken.
add salt and pepper to taste

8) and you're done! tadaa~ hahaahha

now, isn't that easy =P

hmhm trying out the new Maybelline Colossal Volume Express (which i bought in the wrong shade -_-). And today was the day that I found out I've been using the curved brush all wrong... no wonder that that mascara (and all the previous curved ones) didn't work for me! Anyway, after using it correctly this time, it's great! Only thing is that it dries up a bit too fast. But other than that, great!

Second attempt at the muttons. This is the first time I bought actual meat back home! Actual as in non-processed meat (fishball/crabstick/hotdogs etc) lol. I always thought cooking was tough and messy, but after a few experiments, I've came to realize that.. well, cooking is fun!! =D but still very messy. hahaha.

I know it looks quite simple, but it was my first time successfully making the scrambled eggs. And the best thing was, I didn't even plan to have scrambled eggs that day. I've tried cooking them in the past by follow detailed step-by-steps online (yeah, for scrambled egg, don't laugh!), but failed cause they always ended up being an overcooked omelet.

Anyway, I also realize that the basic ingredients you must have in your kitchen are onions, garlics and ginger. I think these ingredients are what differentiate your cooking from edible to delicious. lol.

I guess that's one of the pros for living alone. You can cook without pressure and if it sucks you just have to bare it yourself, and not harming other people with your cooking! hehe.

Bought this from Sasa, it's a lip balm (Vegan Lip Treatment RM45) LOL. Vintage packaging,some sort like Benefit, but more affordable! Tried it the first time and fell instantly in love with it!

The texture is not as heavy as the previous balms I've used, and it has this minty smell =P And it has some exfoliate crystals too but dissolves after awhile. Too bad there's no refills.

2 tinted gloss and a stain. smells nice and blends well. but pink wasn't really my colour.

Last week was just an 'appetizer', I am so not ready for the main course! >.<

Talking about food, my cooking really sucks! For the past month I've been living off Dominoes, take-outs, instant noodle/pasta/soup.. and the occasional nutritious eat-out meals during the weekends. Yeah, it's sad, but I've never been those girls that just knows/like to cook. I know spaghetti but I bet most students do cause it's like, the most easiest and closest thing to a proper meal ever.

So, tried cooking Tomyam (hm's recipe!), but still haven't perfected it yet. 1st attempt too little soup, 2nd attempt, too sour. =( And rice, had to use gas to cooked it last night cause my rice-cooker's too big. -_-"

So, am on the search for quick home-cooked recipes for one. Any good recipes to share?

Had a very hectic yet highly enjoyable Chinese New Year, with all the reunions and gatherings, had to rush most of the times but it was worth it! Was very happy to meet friends of some which I haven't seen for almost 10 years! And also my cousins who came all the way from Canada to celebrate with us ^^

Taken few days before CNY when we were still quite free. Small fact, we played the same Monopoly board 10 years back! Of course Matthew *the one behind me!*wasn't born yet.

Bathing with pomelo leaves the night before new year as it is believed that pomelo enhances 'abundance, prosperity, having children, and good health in the year to come'. =\

Had to get up early the next day for church! Believe it or not, I was the one waking up the rest in my room, to their (and my!) surprise! lol. Cause usually I'm those people who skips breakfast straightaway and sleep till noon! And I'm proud to say that since the first day of CNY till I left, I have woken up not later than 8am! *beams* Haha. Didn't want to miss the breakfast sessions with the family =)

Had a small gathering at foo's place too! He invited us over for japanese beef curry and wii tournament! It was so fun, cause it was my first time 'actively' playing Wii. lol. Especially enjoyed the dancing game! We also got a chance to taste homemade pizza by aunty!

It was fun while it lasted. I'm still trying to adjust to this new life, and it isn't as easy as I thought it would be. It's heart-wrenching to know that what's outside that door was something I used to have before I moved here. The laughter, the craziness, the friendships. These are all easily within my reach, but I am not ready. I know I will eventually adapt to this lifestyle, but not just yet.

I still want to look back and reminisce in the past of how when you're hungry you just shout the word 'MAMAK!' and boom, you're at the mamak stall, no questions asked! I mean, of course there were questions like 'are you really hungry? you sure boh? not wanna diet meh?' but eventually we'll still end up at the mamak stall anyway having our limau ais and nasi goreng kampung. LOL. When you're bored, just pull a chair and everybody will too to watch Survivor together and be flabbergasted when Russell found the immunity third time in a roll! I miss how we eventually grew fond of the 12 cats (I seriously don't know the exact number, but you can call 12 a dozen!) behind our backyard, and used to taunt them with lalang grass and leftover food from dinner. We tied coloured strings/collars on them to let people know that they have owners. There's 3 reds for the kittens and 1 green for 'toh pui' which was our favourite cat.

I miss the fact that because we wanted to be more hardworking and less procrastinating, we decided to move our work station downstairs so that we can do our assignments together and maybe managed our time more properly. But well, lets just say the only thing we've changed was from being upstairs to downstairs. That's all. LOL. Oh wait, it did affect our lifestyle! Because when we're downstairs, and nearer to the kitchen, we started to have home cooked meals more often! I miss how the guys argued over how a certain dish should be cooked, but at the end it turned out delicious anyway! And how they can cook the most delicious fried rice just buy following a how-to-cook-amazing-fried-rice video or something like that on Youtube. lol

There's just too much memories for me to pin to this post, but in the end, the thing I missed most was being in the same house as you guys, and well, which kinda became like a small HIMYM family of our own. loool i know it seems weird to compare it to a sitcom, but that's the only way I can describe it!

That was just a point in our life. Now we're all separated and walking towards different paths, for awhile. I just hope one day our paths will meet, at a crossroad, hopefully with a mamak stall nearby! and we can just sit down, order our limau ais and nasi goreng kampung, and crap just like old times. =)

Visited my primary school today. Oh gosh, I can't believe how much it has changed! And they chopped down 'our' tree!!! =(((

This area used to be the headmaster's small 1 storey quarters, but look at it now! Woah.

The dark green building is the original one. Original as in I had my classes there before! Primary 6 was at the topmost level if not mistaken.

This used to be the printing room. I'm not sure if there ware photocopy machines then, but during that time aunty made copies of our exam papers manually =S I remember whenever I pass by I always saw her turning some thingamagic...

Our canteen! Use to have a square hole on the wall to buy our food but it's bricked up now. Meehoon cost 20cents then. Ah~ the life.

SOME NAUGHTY BOY locked me in the boy's toilet for 3 minutes and surprisingly the boy's toilet were quite clean!

It's nice to drop by once awhile to check up on your old school before they demolish every nostalgic element of yours! And it's also quite weird when that there wasn't an adult in sight when the kids were dismissed... =S It's like the whole school were being controlled by the kids. Hmmm... interesting~~ hahaha.

Went to fetch my mum from the airport. When we got back, she handed me this a huge plastic containing 10 packets of salted peanuts! My mum said she just requested for some peanuts from the steward during the flight while she was waiting for the toilet. The steward emerge again with the peanuts under his coat, and quickly stash it to my mum, saying' don't let other people see ah!'
